Chelsea Must Beat Tottenham Hotspur- Antonio Conte

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has acknowledged that they may struggle to finish inside the top four of the Premier League table if they do not defeat Tottenham this weekend.

With eight games remaining, Chelsea sit five points adrift of their London rivals as both clubs look to earn a place in the Champions League next season.

Conte admits that Chelsea are running out of matches to achieve their targets this season, saying that the result of Sunday’s game at Stamford Bridge could prove to be decisive.

At a press conference, the 48-year-old told reporters: “For sure this is an important game for us. Our target is to try and take a place in the Champions League and reach the final of the FA Cup and to win if we are able.

“These are our targets. Sunday is an important game because if we win we go very close – otherwise we continue to stay not so close and with seven games to go it will be difficult to take a place in the Champions League.”
